How Good a Communicator Are You?

Some of us are great communicators. Some of us are not. All of us can improve. Communication skill can continue to improve throughout our lives.

I assume that anyone reading a blog called "How Communication Works" is interested in improving their communication skills. In upcoming blogs and videos, I want to talk to you more about how we measure communication skill, how communication skill develops, and what you might do to advance your own skills to the highest level.

But before I do that, I want to give you a chance to assess your own skills.

Over the past 50 years or so, communication scientists have developed several validated measures of communication skill. These have been used to observe how communication skill develops from childhood to adulthood. And my colleagues and I have used these measures all around the country to help organizations identify their strongest communicators.

Here is your chance to take the same assessments we give to our consulting clients.

Click here to do the online assessment. I will score and send individualized feedback to the first 50 people who provide an email address on the online survey. (Sorry the survey is now closed.)

If you want to take the survey anonymously, that's fine too. At least you'll know what we're talking about in subsequent videos and blogs when I refer back to these measures.

So go ahead and click on the link. (Sorry the survey is now closed.)

I look forward to reading your responses!
